This programme was designed after an extensive 25-year research programme into effective leaders across numerous industries. It was found that in the same set of circumstances, some leaders were highly effective, yet others were notably less so. Regardless of industry and organisation size, the ‘difference that made a difference’ was the consistent and remarkably similar approach taken by the effective managers with their teams. The less successful managers had an approach that was lacking in consistency and cohesion.
Over the course of the three-day programme, our Client Partner Nicola, will work with you to develop the mindset and skills of a high-performing leader, known as ‘high challenge and high support’.
Together, you’ll cover the two key concepts and two attitudinal characteristics common to all effective leaders:
The research also showed that effective leaders follow a proven four-step process – visioning, mobilising, developing and enabling. We will cover these and their 15 competencies to leave you able to purposely lead your teams to higher performance and greater success.
Please note that the third day of the programme follows six months later when we’ll regroup to refresh our memories of the programme, discuss how you’ve implemented key learning, the benefits you’ve seen and any issues you’ve had.
Coaching: If you feel you’d like some additional support implementing your new skills, we can spend an agreed amount of time together between programme days. You might want to get together in person or connect over the phone – whatever you need, we will tailor the coaching to you.
